About Us

Caistor Yarborough Academy is a small, non-selective secondary school in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Why we're raising money

Caistor Yarborough Academy is fundraising for a MUGA or Multi Use Games Area and we need your help!
Any contribution that you can make, however large or small, can make a difference.  If you are able to donate £25 you can sponsor 1m² of our MUGA.

What is a MUGA?
A MUGA is a maintenance free, all weather playing surface, with perimeter fencing and floodlights. A MUGA would enhance the sporting provision within the academy, providing students with a wider choice of curricular and extra curricular sporting activities. Students will be able to play on a properly marked out pitch and the academy will be able to host inter-school sporting events.

The MUGA would also be a valuable community facility which could be hired by local groups and clubs.

Why do we need a MUGA?
Our school field has been invaded by Chafer grubs and as a result of this the birds, which feed on these grubs, have damaged our field. There is no short term solution to this issue. A MUGA would also allow students to participate in a greater variety of sporting activities, providing them with opportunities to try sports which perhaps they might not otherwise get to experience.

Where would the MUGA be located?

The MUGA would be located on the top tennis courts.
