About Us

At St. Joseph's School, our mission is to grow together with Jesus in our hearts, heads and hands and part of this journey is a holistic approach which ensures our pupils are fully equipped for their future in education and life.
We are an inclusive, diverse, one-form entry primary school with nursery and wrap around care.
We pride ourselves on links to our Church and community and strong relationships.
We are hoping to walk 10,000 miles as a school and raise £10,000 for a new WIFI network system and we need YOUR help. We are counting on you all to walk, share our page and raise funds for the wifi network.

Getting started:
Please see the blue ‘Support this Organisation’ box to the right of the gallery of photo’s above. Click the orange ‘Tap Here to Get Started’ This will take you through to options to raise money for us. Choose ‘Raise Funds for Us!’ - a quick on-line sponsor form which should only take a few minutes to complete. With easy to share social media buttons you can easily invite your friends and family to support you on the Walk for WIFI. Add a photo and even a video, or two, of your family completing the walking challenge. Join in the fundraising fun by clicking the Leaderboard application too and good luck with the fundraising and walking!

Why we're raising money

In order to give each pupil the best learning experience and preparation for the next stage of education, we rely on up to date technology.

St Joseph’s installed its current WiFi network over 12 years ago. Although at the time, the network was new technology and somewhat ‘future proofed’, upgrades in technology along with the significant increase in demands and usage, the school now encounters several issues:
- Slow log-on speeds
- Dropped connections
- Poor device performance
- Limited Wifi access in some areas across the school i.e. cold spots
- Staff and pupils losing faith in the technology

The £10,000 raised will pay for a completely new network:
- Wireless access points
- Wired switches
- New equipment
- Inter-switch Cabling
If each pupil takes part in this sponsored walk and raises £50, we will easily reach our target.
In summary, it will enable staff and pupils to work more efficiently, modernise our school and we need your help and generosity to fund this. We appreciate your support!
