About Us
Since the pandemic, the homework club has seen the demand for our service going up. But due to many children who we support have different needs find it hard to be taught over zoom. We wanted to resume face to face contact tutoring while following the government guidelines.
Why we're raising money
We need to raise money so that we can commit to hiring a hall space and offer travel expenses to the asylum-seeking families to be able to come to the premises. The children will be able to meet with their tutor while observing social distancing. It is vital these children are given the chance to flourish in a mainstream school.
£30 donation would hire the hall for 3 hours – enough for one session.
£240 would hire the hall for a whole month (2 days a week for 3-hour sessions)
£150 a week pays for one tutor
£20 donation covers the cost of a mobile phone for our sessional workers for a month, we have four volunteers
£5 donation covers travel costs for one day to attend the club for an asylum-seeking child. We currently have 15 children wishing to attend our club.
