We are a Mountain Rescue team operating within part of the Lake District offering help and assistance to those lost, injured and those who suffer a medical incident on the fells, moors and mountains surrounding Ambleside. We assist the local community when the area / region are affected by adverse weather such as snow and floods. We also provide swift water rescue when the area / region / nation experience adverse weather conditions along with the rescue of persons lost or injured in rivers within our operational area / region.
We will always respond to genuine requests for help by providing advice or deployment of the team to those who need assistance. Our skills such as search, medical and rescue are requested by the Police or Ambulance Service along with Fire and Coastguards. We are a 100% voluntary organisation available 24 hours per day 365 days a year.
