Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA)
This Charity has a personal link as a very good friend Tara has lived with this condition all her life. She is a wonderful young woman, who wants to live an independent life but is reliant on the wonderful services that the Tuberous Sclerosis (TS) clinic provides. Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is a genetic condition that can lead to growths in various organs of the body, but those most commonly affected are the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. The Tuberous Sclerosis Association is the front runner for pioneering research, which is searching for a cure and new treatments. Not only do they fund ground-breaking research but they support families that need it. TSC is a condition that is hard not only the person themselves, but also the family. TSA have support for the families, they help to provide information on benefits support, care and emotional wellbeing.Everyday I see her and her family fight this condition and still have an upbeat smile on their faces. With your support, via a donation, you can help families such as Tara have a independent life and maybe one day help to find a cure!https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/tuberous-sclerosis/

Team Dyscover (Banstead Rotary Charity Walk)
A team of Dyscover staff, trustees and volunteers and friends are taking part in the Banstead Rotary Charity Walk on Sunday 8th May to raise vital funds to support Dyscover's work providing long-term support and opportunities to people with aphasia and their families. Aphasia

friendly community in which people feel included, valued and have a sense of
purpose. They offer structured, therapeutic group sessions to over 80 adults per

Striding out to support Surrey's unpaid carers
A carer is anyone, including children and adults who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction and cannot cope without their support. The care they give is unpaid. - NHSAs a registered charity, Crossroads Care Surrey (www.crossroadscaresurrey.org.uk) support more than 2,000 carers and their families in the county, please help us to support more.We support unpaid carers in Surrey by providing respite breaks so a carer can have time away from their usual caring role. This enables a hardworking carer to have a few hours to themselves to relax and recharge, knowing their loved one is being cared for by one of our professional, qualified Carer Support Workers. Our recent survey of our carers in Surrey found that 7 in 10 often feel lonely in their caring role. A visit by a Carer Support Workers can also provide a carer with the opportunity to leave their home environment for a few hours to take part in sport, leisure or social activities to improve their overall emotional wellbeing."Thank you so much to all of you at Crossroads for this wonderful gift of time and care. I cannot thank you enough. We are very grateful and appreciate all the care and kindness that we are surrounded by. I cannot speak highly enough of them all. These two mornings mean so much to me and I am truly grateful."
