About Us

Southall FC was formed in 1871 and played its first game at Southall Park versus Uxbridge in October 1871. Southall FC is a club with a long and rich history, one that the town can be proud of, with players such as Alan Devonshire, Ted Bennett, Sir Les Ferdinand, Gordon Hill going on to play internationally, with many more following in their footsteps into professional football.

The club is one of the oldest in the country and will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in the 2021 season. The club wants to mark this milestone by holding events, charity matches, and also publish a mini-book on history the club.

The club is also in progressive negotiations with the local authority regarding potential sites so that we can bring the football club back home to Southall. The previous ground on Western Road was sold off for development in the early 1990’s since when the club has been ground sharing at various other clubs. Southall has a diverse population with so many nationalities, making such a unique, vibrant town. The High Street is blessed with many independent businesses enjoying an array of colourful clothing stores, exotic food shops, and restaurants. Sadly, whilst Southall FC has been away from the town, many generations have missed out on being part of the club and understanding its history, and special place in the heart of our community.

Southall FC has exciting plans to host events in the coming year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of our historic club and to build momentum towards bringing it back to where it belongs – in Southall. We have plans to build a sporting complex so that Southall FC is able to play in its hometown again, bringing in new supporters from the immediate and surrounding areas. More than that, we’d like to build a facility that can be a hub for sports projects, school use and educational programmes, too – an asset that the whole community can enjoy.

The committee have set up this campaign page to help raise funds so that we can achieve our goals (pun intended) by celebrating our 150th anniversary in style, and progressing our development plans.

Help us to wake this “sleeping giant” of a club. Please donate what you can - however big or small, it all helps. And whether or not you donate, please share this page with your friends, family, businesses near and far, and associates across the world so that they can be part of the Southall FC family!

Thank you,

The Committee of Southall FC
